CEO of Grey Interactive B.V. for the Grey Communications Group in The Netherlands
I transformed this daughter company of worldwide top-10 marketing group Grey from a small website production facility to an outstanding e-commerce strategy and creative services company: I doubled revenues in two years time without increasing running costs, with resulting profitability growth from sub-zero to ample. To this end I replaced part of the staff with new professionals, resulting in a strong team of 10. I established a business plan redefining corporate strategy and guided the implementation. I set new financial guidelines and working methods to ensure results. Hiring in divergent pairs, I put together a multi-disciplinary think-tank with art academy graduates besides corporate marketers, so as to creatively reinvent client businesses on the Internet.
I built up a substantial portfolio of major national and international clients, through effective positioning and marketing, high quality services and a strong personal role as an e-business advocate: vision was spread through workshops, conference speaking sessions and personal networking. I developed and implemented Internet strategies for these top national and multi-national companies with my team of consultants, creative, technical and marketing staff.
Amongst the extensive list of clients served are companies in financial services (Allianz/Royal, ASR Stad Rotterdam), tourism and travel (KLM, travel insurer Europeesche Verzekeringen, touroperator De Jong Intra, BP Amoco), fast-moving consumer goods (Procter&Gamble, Mars, Seagram), telco's and cable companies (UPC, Sonera, Versatel) and the car industry (Renault, Fiat).
