  1995-1997 : MaxIQ Internet Services V.O.F. - Managing Director and Owner

My private consulting firm for Internet marketing serviced local companies wishing to expand their business to the net. All production and project management was outsourced through a self-established 'virtual' back-office. Clients were small and medium-sized companies, among them cultural institutions, retailers and service companies in The Netherlands and Belgium.


 

 
  1985-1995 : Topic Software V.O.F. - Managing Director and Owner

My financial software services company employing a staff of six, provided a broad range of ICT services to smaller companies in The Netherlands and Belgium for over 10 years. Core business was providing IT solutions in the areas of finance, accounting and management information systems, with proprietary and third party software products and support.

I started the company with a partner, expanded and consolidated the software production and sales business, established an effective distribution network, and moved on to transform the company from a product oriented to a consulting and services approach. After also establishing a strong presence in the Belgian market through alliances and partnerships in the distribution chain, I transferred the core assets -client base and proprietary software applications- to a local software publisher and distributor.
